AROMATHERAPY SCENT POT is meticulously handcrafted using 30% upcycled pottery that would have otherwise been discarded. Selected fragments of discarded pottery are carefully sorted based on their purpose and texture, then combined with sand and natural materials. Each piece of clay is personally kneaded, crushed, and intricately engraved by skilled artisans, followed by carving and refining. This pottery is created without glaze treatment, and each piece is individually polished to achieve a natural texture and unique pattern. The final product undergoes two firings at a high temperature of 1,280°C, resulting in a durable and sturdy structure that is highly resistant to breakage.

The AROMATHERAPY SCENT POT is a product of collaboration with a nu's Re-Porcelain Project. a nu's Re-Porcelain Project strives to create a circular cycle where discarded pottery finds new life as functional ceramics in our everyday lives.

① Direct Pottery Collection
Discarded pottery is collected from various sources, including households, small workshops, and schools. ②Grinding
The collected pottery is finely ground into a flour-like powder, with different coarseness levels sorted according to their intended use. ③Mixing
The finely ground powder is blended with clay, preparing it for the transformation into ceramics. The mixture of diverse materials from the discarded pottery naturally creates textures and patterns. ④Handcrafted Production
The clay mixture is individually kneaded by hand and shaped using press molding techniques. Each piece is meticulously engraved, carved, and refined. This production method significantly reduces energy and water consumption by over 60 times.
HOW TO USE

Place a few drops of diffusing oil or essential oil onto the interior of the scent pot and allow the fragrance to disperse into space.

If you wish to use a different fragrance or diffusing oil, leave the object in place until the scent becomes faint and then use it with the new oil. Alternatively, you can wash the stone with water, let it dry naturally before using it again.

As part of our commitment, we are establishing a culture of REUSE through our Refill Stations, by collecting the emptied packaging after use and RECYCLING them, and REDUCING waste. Through this bottle-to-bottle system, AROMATICA adopts a circular resource management.

There are only so many perfect recycling programs. Even as we do our part carefully by discarding the product by type, there is a high chance that the items will be mixed up and contaminated even during the screening process. To address this issue, AROMATICA has set up several recycling spots throughout Seoul where we directly collect used packaging and transparent PET. These recyclables are then picked up with our electric trucks, brought to our recycling plants, and transformed into new AROMATICA packaging. Be part of AROMATICA's JOIN THE CIRCLE by bringing any transparent PET items or AROMATICA's packaging to any of our collection bases near you. Remember to remove the labels and lids and rinse the recyclables before recycling them with us.
