Why post-consumer recycled?

Beauty Has Issues: scarcity and plastic pollution.

Most skincare products use water as the main ingredient or in manufacturing. The availability of clean, drinkable water is expected to drop by 2050, thanks to climate change, pollution, and increased demand.

Beauty care is a ritual product. You purchase and repurchase products according to your skin condition. That is why the packaging is important. The beauty industry alone produces billions of plastic packaging units annually. Eight million metric tons of plastic wind up in the ocean every year. Did you know that by 2050 there will be more plastic than fish in the world’s oceans? Twelve billion metric tons will sit in landfills.

We’re cutting down on raw materials.

“Refill pouches reduce 86% of virgin plastic compared to plastic bottles.”

“We do our best to provide sustainable options in beauty care,” says Jerry Kim, founder of AROMATICA. “Providing refill pouches was just the beginning. We’ll continue to innovate and improve our packaging to increase sustainability.”

We understand that purchasing contributes to the overall waste. That’s why we came out with refill pouches. They save approximately 80% of water, energy, and reduce the single-use. We are limiting our dependency on virgin materials and reducing carbon emissions.

Our Post-Consumer Recycling

“Using PCR glass reduces energy by 40% compared to virgin glass”.

Post-consumer refers to a finished product that has served its purpose then recovered from landfills. This includes anything that you throw in the recycling to waste bins.

Glass can be recycled infinitely. It’s is why we are committed to glass packaging. “We want our practices to inspire consumers to practice for a better planet,” continued Jerry. Our glass containers are meant to be reused, make sure they are emptied and thoroughly washed out.

We need the beauty industry to act.

We strive to make sustainability a priority and pioneer sustainable solutions. Our practices for environmental protection are to increase recycling and provide reusability. To make an impact, we need the beauty industry to act now.

We invite you to join us to avoid single-use plastics and look for sustainable options. Thank you for being a part of us. Together let’s do better. Tag us to show how you support our #offtheplastic practices!
